Solemn Assembly 2005
Prayer Request

This a request for prayer for Four Corners Community Church, for Shiprock, the Navajo Nation and the Four Corners i.e. the Colorado Plateau.
This Sunday at 10:30, we are holding a Solemn Assembly at the Church, a time for corporate repentance and prayer according to Joel Ch 1 and 2, and in the prayer flow of Daniel 9, Nehemiah 1 and 9, and Ezra 9. I am asking that Sunday a.m. you remember us in your service times.
Any of you are welcome to come and join us. This marks the beginning of a 10 month period of intense prayer and fasting and one-on-one outreach into the streets and homes of Shiprock. As far as we know, this is the first time anything like we are seting out on has been done by this church or even by any of the churches in Shiprock.
This is not handing out "tracts" or a "turn or burn" evangelistic effort. This is Isaiah 58 in action. The poor and needy, the homeless are to be fed, clothed, and housed. Isaiah 61,we are to bring freedom from bondage and healing to the wounded.
The process of regional transformation began about a year ago, now is the time for action. Hector Torres' visit was a necessary step of training into the actual pushing out. (we are still working on copying audio and video tapes of his teaching. Please be patient.)
Pray for the churches of Shiprock that they would desire to come together in this worthy endeavor.
Pray for resources and provision.
Pray for perseverance.
The Lord continues to give us new songs and we are now ready to begin to record these to give out. Pray for that also.
There is a lot of anticipation and momentum as we move forward. Pray the Lord of the Harvest to raise up the workers of His vineyard for the task. The plateau will be truly a "heart of fire"

Soli Deo Gloria
For the glory of God alone,
Chris and Shelley
